HIGH PERFORMANCE SURFACE METALLURGY

Thermal Spray Process Services Ahmedabad HVOF, Plasma, Arc Spray

TSE is integrated into extending the life of industrial equipment and components through surface coating. We offer exceptional thermal spray process for small to large scale industries. Thermal spray is a coating process that uses metal or compound in powder or wire form that is heated and applied onto a prepared substrate as a spray of droplets that gets hardened after applying to the surface to form a protective coating. This process ensures to restore and enhance the surface of the material.

It can be applied in a multilayer to achieve the desired thickness of the coating. The thermal spraying technique is extensively utilized in numerous industries as the most preferred method as it is an effective process to extend the working life of components. Different thermal spray coatings processes utilized by TSE to improve the component's surface and exteriors are High-Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF), Twin Wire Arc Spray-TWAS System, Flame Wire Spray Process, and Flame Powder Spray Process.

Frequently Asked Questions

The selection depends on the primary wear mechanism: HVOF for extreme sliding abrasion and cavitation; TWAS for cost-effective large area atmospheric corrosion and boiler tubes; Flame Powder for shaft rebuilding; and TSA for marine CUI.

Virtually all metals can be coated, including carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, bronze, aluminum, titanium, and nickel alloys.

Properly applied thermal coatings achieve high mechanical or metallurgical bond strengths (up to 80+ MPa) and compressive internal stresses, preventing delamination under rated operating loads.

We verify bond strength through standard ASTM C633 tensile pull tests, bend tests, and metallographic cross-section examinations for porosity and oxide inclusions.

Coatings have minimal porosity (HVOF <1%, TWAS 2–5%). When used in chemical immersion, specialized liquid or ceramic sealers (such as silicone or Tube Armor) penetrate and seal all micro-pores.
